About Me

Shawn has a BA in Economics and received her teaching credential from CSUN. She joined the OCS staff in 2011 as a co-substitute teacher in kindergarten for a long term maternity leave assignment. After that, she continued as an associate teacher in fourth grade before becoming a fourth grade lead teacher in the fall of 2012. Shawn has always had a love for learning and works to instill that same love in students. In her spare time, Shawn enjoys reading, especially historical fiction, solving puzzles both jigsaw and sudoku, traveling, hiking, and spending time with her family.
