Committee Missions & Responsibilities
OUTREACH COMMITTEE - Juliette Vanek & Jenny Strahler
Mission: Connect families with resources, strengthen community partnerships, and support families in need.
Panda Pantry
Coordinate food and essential item collections, maintain pantry inventory, and assist families experiencing food insecurity through our Panda Pack Program.
Food Drive
5th Graders organize a food collection campaign in the Spring and partner with a local organization to provide meals for families. The food drive also helps replenish our Panda Pantry.
Community Closet
Panda Partners has a Facebook page (Panda Partners Community Free Exchange). This is our very own online community where we collect, organize, and distribute clothing, school supplies, and household essentials to OCS families.
Ralphs Community Rewards
Promote enrollment in the Ralphs Community Rewards Program and educate families on how everyday shopping supports OCS.
Community Contributions
Develop partnerships with local businesses, seek donations and sponsorships, and coordinate community giving opportunities.
COMMUNITY COMMITTEE - Mai Vu & Tracie Chilcott
Mission: Build school spirit and strengthen relationships by creating memorable experiences for students and families.
Pandaween & Trunk or Treat
Plan the annual Halloween celebration, decorate event spaces, coordinate volunteers, and organize activities including a Trunk-or-Treat.
Dine Out Days
Partner with local restaurants to host fundraising nights that bring the community together while supporting Panda Partners.
Pizza Fridays
Coordinate volunteers, food orders, and distribution for the sale of pizza after school.
Panda Playdates
In coordination with Pizza Fridays, we organize family meetups after school on campus throughout the year to encourage friendships and strengthen the OCS community.
Panda Café
Coordinate hospitality for the families after dropping off the students organizing refreshments, snacks, and
volunteer support.
Staff Appreciation Week
Plan and coordinate activities, meals, treats, and gifts to recognize and celebrate OCS faculty and staff.
Parents Night Out
Plan family-friendly evening events that provide opportunities for parents to connect.
Parent Mixer
Organize a social event at the beginning of the year that welcomes new and returning families and encourage community involvement.
Pancake Breakfast
Coordinate volunteers, food, entertainment, and logistics for a fun community breakfast fundraiser.
Watermelon Social
Plan the annual back-to-school celebration that welcomes families and helps build connections at the beginning of the school year. It involves handing out delicious slices of watermelon to all kids after school.
Parent Welcome Breakfast
Host a welcoming breakfast for new families, provide school information, and introduce Panda Partners.
SERVICE COMMITTEE - Tina Herrera & Ryan French
Mission: Support students, staff, and classrooms through volunteer service, school enhancement projects, and enrichment opportunities.
Recess Reading & Book Donations
Recruit volunteers to read with students and organize book donation drives that promote literacy.
Good Box Organics
Coordinate fresh produce distribution and healthy food initiatives for OCS families.
Panda Wear
Promote and sell school spirit wear while managing apparel sales and inventory.
Panda Arts
Support student creativity by organizing art enrichment activities, school beautification projects, and creative
events.
Room Parent Coordinator
Recruit, train, and support room parents while serving as the liaison between classrooms and Panda Partners.
School Gift Committee
Coordinate fundraising and planning for special school gifts, and campus improvements.
